About Subarnarekha Port Private Limited

M/s Subarnarekha Port Pvt. Ltd is a Greenfield port under implementation with an estimated capital cost of Rs. 25000 Mn close to Subarnarekha River Mouth (Chaumukh) In Balasore District of Orissa. The Concession Agreement for the Development of Subarnarekha Port Project was signed on 11th Janurary 2008 by M/s Creative Port Development Pvt., which was subsequently subrogated to the Special Purpose Company (M/s Subarnarekha Port Pvt. Ltd) in June 2009.

Subarnarekha port will cater to the key cargo movements in east India through development of deep water alongside berthing, multi-cargo port with state of the art loading & unloading facility. The project will operate based on the typical BOOST (Build Own Operate Share & Transfer) Agreement with the State Government, which provides the Developer to build and operate the port for a period of 34 years including 4 (four) years for construction, With an additional period of 20 years in two blocks of ten years each.

Subarnarekha Port would be capable of berthing capsize vessels of 120,000 + DWT in phase I onward, which would be further enhanced to handle bigger vessels (1,80,000 to 2,00,000 DWT) from phase II/III onwards. Subarnarekha Port would be fully mechanized port offering an efficient & integrated cargo handling services for a variety of bulk and break bulk cargo groups.
